Temperature probes

We produce a line of depth/temperature probes that allow simultaneous measurements of snow depth and snow basal temperature. Because of the probe's stiff but thin design, they are easily inserted into the snow, equilibrate rapidly, and provide a reading accurate to ±0.2°C. The temperature is read on a digital reader that can be moved from probe to probe, connected by a phone jack plug. Available in either °C or °F, and in lengths ranging from 1 to 2 m. Custom protective cases (black cylinder below) also available.
